About Hope for the Heart
Hope for the Heart is a non-profit Christian ministry. Our mission is to equip people with biblical principles to renew lives, restore families, revitalize churches and reproduce influencers - worldwide.
To accomplish this mission we produce radio broadcasts, Bible-based resources, provide training on peer-to-peer biblical counseling, discipleship and leadership development.
About the Position
Hope for the Heart is seeking a part-time Receptionist and Volunteer Coordinator. This position will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to a variety of stakeholders within Hope for the Heart, as well as assist with other duties and special assignments as needed.
This role will also help recruit volunteers and coordinate volunteer activity for Hope for the Heart.
This role will be in-office from 11 : 00am - 5 : 00pm on Wednesdays, and 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Guest Service : Welcome visitors and serve as a primary point of contact for Hope for the Heart; direct incoming calls and respond to general inquires from external parties
- Administrative Support : Perform general administrative duties, including responding to incoming emails, working on spreadsheets / presentations, sorting mail, making copies, maintaining common spaces (including the office kitchen), ordering office supplies, etc.
- Event Coordination : Plan and support internal events, including staff parties and meetings
- Special Assignments : Support special tasks and assignments, as needed, from a variety of stakeholders and departments
- Volunteer Coordination : Direct and support Hope for the Heart's volunteers, including recruiting and training new volunteers
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma / GED and 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- High level of professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail
- Ability to discreetly handle sensitive material and information
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to guests and employees of Hope for the Heart
