About Us
Infold Games is a new international business brand launched by Papergames aiming for global expansion. Established in August 2022, Infold Games has achieved remarkable success globally across multiple countries and regions with its latest installment in the Love Series, Love and Deep Space, which has been in open beta since January 18, 2024.
In May 2024, Infinity Nikki conducted offline closed beta tests in North America and Japan, receiving praise from both players and media.
At the May 2024 Sony State of Play, Infold Games debuted their new game Ballad Of Antara, garnering significant attention from both media and players.
Meanwhile, Infinity Nikki also made an appearance at Sony State of Play, unveiling a brand new trailer that received widespread acclaim.
The CG arm of the studio, Paper Animation, is actively developing an animated feature film based on this beloved gaming IP, with the best talent from the film industry, to enhance the entertainment and joy Nikki has brought to her fans over the last decade.
Responsibilities
- Generate high-quality characters through a strong sense of design and liaise with directors and art leadership to ensure the quality of work is consistent with the vision set forth by the team.
- Further the storytelling through specificity of look, personality and feel of the characters.
- Create turnarounds, special poses, mouth charts and expression sheets and provide a clean pass on all the final approved designs.
- Develop and maintain efficient workflows and processes in conjunction with the rest of the Art Department, ensuring timely delivery of assets and adherence to project schedules.
- Take ownership of character look development throughout the pre-production process, to ensure consistency from 2D to 3D, and be proactive in helping top find solutions for production problems.
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques, and continually push the boundaries of creativity and innovation within the art department discipline.
Requirements
- Several years experience as supervising or lead character designer on multiple animated films and / or series.
- An eye for established Nikki aesthetics that speaks to our audience of teens and young adults.
- Experience in 3D software such as Maya, blender, and / or Zbrush.
- Familiar with 3D animated film and television production workflows, with strong art production experience as well as knowledge of international film art styles.
- Strong communication skills and understanding of various art disciplines.
