Constructive Simulation Systems Specialist Senior - Mission Training Complex (MTC)

HOW THE CONSTRUCTIVE SYSTEMS SPECIALIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
- Leads the Mission Training Complex (MTC) technical simulation support effort in the installation, configuration, and operation of the operating system(s), security, and simulation software necessary to establish the directed constructive training environment.
- Manages the simulation training environment utilizing government provided hardware and software configured to properly support the event’s simulation control plan.
- Responsible for the submission and tracking of system / software anomalies reported by the MTC to system developers for correction, to include follow-up integration / application of corrective actions / patches.
- Manages stimulation to C4I systems from a simulation training environment to fulfill the needs of a simulation control plan.
- Assists unit representatives and field support representatives in understanding how simulations will integrate into the C4I networks to provide stimulation.
- Maintains necessary information assurance protocols in simulation / stimulation systems that include but are not limited to system lockdown procedures, operating system patches, and simulation / stimulation software patches.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED :
- Education : BS or BA degree, subject immaterial. Certification necessary for IAT Level II and Computing Environment Certifications (Security+ or higher)
- Required Experience :
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience or equivalence in integrating constructive training environments, planning network and simulation architectures and stimulation of Army MCISs in support of unit training events and distributed exercises.
- Minimum of eight years’ experience with Military training and training support.
- Experience in technical support and training requirements at Brigade or higher levels of Army units.
- Required Technical Skills :
- Good understanding of TCP / IP networks and protocols.
- Knowledge and experience with the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) and low overhead simulation drivers (LOTS, DEXTRS, DFSTS).
- Proficiency with current and future versions of the simulation(s) operating software and hardware fielded to the Mission Training Complex.
- Required Certifications : IAT Level II and Computing Environment Certifications (Security+ or higher)
- Security Clearance Level : Secret Clearance required to start
- Required Skills and Abilities :
- Must be able to work in stressful Army training exercises with Soldiers & Leaders.
- Training events and exercises may include overtime and weekend work.

The likely salary range for this position is $72,250 - $97,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
