About the Position :
Under the direction of the School Director, the Assistant Director acts as second-in-command to provide leadership in all operational, educational, compliance, admissions, and administrative areas within our Concord School.
As the Assistant Director, you will work directly with cosmetology students to ensure the best possible student experience by overseeing all school operations, advising on educational requirements, conducting orientation, observing the classroom and salon, maintaining student records, and assuring all issues pertaining to student enrollment, attendance, education and progress towards graduation, licensure, and placement are addressed.
The Assistant Director works with the School Director to provide management coverage at all times when the school is open.
This position requires flexibility which may include working two evenings per week and two Saturdays per month. The salary for this position is $50, - 55, per year.
Our ideal Candidate possesses 3-5 years of combined work experience and education as outlined below :
- Management experience is required and operational management experience is preferred.
- School leadership experience in a post-secondary environment is a plus.
- Proven ability to effectively lead a team, manage budgets, and achieve operational goals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing accreditation and / or compliance is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and execute established policies and procedures.
- Experience with student admissions / enrollment is a bonus.
- A Vocational Diploma, or an Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
