Painting Engineer
Hourly Starting Compensation : $25.95 to $26.20 (DOE), Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Overtime Eligible

GENERAL SUMMARY :
To assist in the efficient and safe operation of the building’s physical appearance and fixtures to ensure the successful operation of the hotel.
Directly respond to guest / employee engineering needs. Individual will be responsible for maintaining the hotels indoor and outside walls conducting walks of the property.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Be able to communicate effectively to all guest and other departments.
- Help in training new crewmembers to meet department responsibilities.
- Answer all incoming calls efficiently and in a timely manner, including handheld radios.
- Complete duty engineer daily task sheet.
- Assist in performing inventories, ordering, and stock control.
- Follow proper procedures in returning all shop tools, ladders and test equipment to its proper area.
- Follow future and established elevator policy.
- Perform other tasks as requested.
- Follow proper electrical safety tag out procedures.
- Follow guidelines presented in the employee handout book.
- Attend engineering departmental meetings as scheduled.
- Maintain cleanliness of all engineering spaces.
- Maintain a proper engineering and turnover log.
- Assist with performing inspections, preventive maintenance schedules and repairs.
- Assist in maintaining reports and documents.
- Respond to guest request and radio calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance as assigned on daily task sheet.
- Practice R-Way Basics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
- Skills preferred at least one year as a painter.
- Good work ethics and a willingness to learn new responsibilities.
- Prior engineering experience preferred, in a hotel or high-rise building
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High School certificates plus two years of training or equal experience in one of the trades.
