Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing.

They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

This role is under the Industrial Solutions segment, Energy business unit. Our technical support team manages many aspects sustaining of a product line for the Energy Americas commercial team, from presales technical support to creating new products and all associated documentation.

The team works closely with product management, sales, customer care, and manufacturing. They are responsible for overall product support to sustain the product lines in order to help meet sales and profit targets of the business.

As a High Voltage Cable Accessory (HVCA) Product Specialist, a typical day may include :

  • Provides technical and commercial support to internal (sales, product management production, and engineering) and external customers for all the HVCA parts.
  • Interpret customers' specifications to select or create the correct TE product for their application and provide technical product support.
  • Develop specification and sales support materials including but not limited to installation instructions, data sheets, cross references, etc.
  • Coordinate prototypes for testing with engineering and provide technical assistance to design feasibility and make recommendations for necessary changes.
  • Create Installation instructions and manage part number creation in TE systems.

What your background should look like :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or in related technical field, with 5+ years' experience; or, those without degree but with equivalent high voltage cable (69kV & above) or cable accessory experience, will be considered
  • Experience in product management, technical support, manufacturing engineering, application engineering, and / or technical sales, preferred
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude skills are a plus
