Fork Lift Operator

Job Specifications :

• Job Type : Full-time
• Location : Newport News, VA
• Pay Rate : $17 / hr
• Shift : 8a-5p, Monday-Friday

Roles and Responsibilities :

• Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and shipping containers
• Block and brace products to secure them during transportation
• Down stack products to prepare them for palletizing
• Follow documentation procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory
• Perform daily and weekly housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash cans
• Adhere to food grade facility requirements and maintain cleanliness standards
• Follow all safety and compliance policies and procedures
• Pick orders and put away products as required
• Utilize stand up, sit down, and high reach forklifts as needed

Qualifications & Skills :

• Previous experience as a Fork Lift Operator or similar role
• Valid forklift operator certification
• Experience working in a food grade facility is required
• Knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
• Ability to follow documentation procedures accurately
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects
• Flexibility to work different shifts as required
