About The Role :
As a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you will oversee the management and execution of geotechnical engineering services across Kentucky and neighboring states.
Your projects will encompass subsurface explorations, slope stability evaluations, construction support services, and more, supporting a variety of civil infrastructure projects including roadways, bridges, and buildings.
Key responsibilities include :
Data Evaluation : Evaluate and synthesize intricate geotechnical laboratory test results and field data.
Engineering Expertise : Apply robust geotechnical engineering principles to perform analyses for shallow foundations, deep foundations, slope stability, and settlement.
Offer recommendations for ground improvement where necessary.
Communication : Regularly communicate with subcontractors and external clients. Assist in training junior staff and contribute to business development efforts for S&ME.
Technical Reporting : Write reports, prepare proposals, and actively participate in marketing and business development pursuits.
Leadership : Lead by example, actively supporting internal policies and practices, including health and safety, risk management, project management, and quality management.
Time Management : Prioritize and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Professional Engagement : Actively participate in professional organizations to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.
About You :
- You have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or geotechnical engineering
- You have a minimum of 4 years work experience in geotechnical engineering
- You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
