Simply Known is a Kansas mental health organization, located in Overland Park. Simply Known prides itself in being a clinician-led organization committed warm and compassionate therapy online and in person, helping individuals grow, connect, thrive.

We work with adults of all ages, backgrounds and genders, and specialize in eating disorder recovery, perinatal mental health, those experiencing fertility treatments, and trauma.

We work with a diverse range of clients who are navigating the complex challenges that life can present.

Simply Known is seeking board certified psychotherapists, licensed psychologists, social workers, and clinical professional counselors to join the team on a contract basis to diagnose and treat patient referrals.

This individual will join a growing team of psychotherapists and shall serve in a clinical role for Simply Known, providing online psychological initial evaluations and individual therapy to patients.

The Psychotherapist has the primary responsibility for providing treatment and therapeutic services to an assigned caseload of clients.

The Psychotherapist utilizes evidence-based practices to assist clients with achieving their treatment goals.

This is a work from home hybrid position - appointments will be both telehealth and in person session. Additionally, sessions will be scheduled in advance, based on your availability.

With Simply Known’s video based, HIPAA compliant, telehealth platform, you will function under the leadership of the Medical Director and have the full support of Simply Known’s clinical practice staff for collaborative patient care.

Reimbursement is based on sessions completed, and is negotiable based on license and experience level.

Qualifications :

• Must have a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology
• Mental Health Counseling (MHC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited master’s program
• Licensed as a : LCSW, LCSW-C, LCPC, LCP, LCMFT, LCPAT, or LCADC, PhD, PsyD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Access), electronic health records, and the use of computers / laptops
• Experience and confidence in identifying and implementing evidence-based practices in mental / behavioral health
• Ability to work in, adapt and lead the culture of a multicultural, community-based organization
• Strong preference for experience with individuals who are diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness, and / or dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use conditions
• Ability to work with insightful and motivated population
• Must be a organized, independent, and confident clinician interested in continuing to develop a niche
• Living in the United States

Essential Job Functions :

• Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to an assigned caseload of clients
• Conduct psychiatric diagnostic evaluations with prospective clients
• Complete assessments and reassessments with existing clients within established timeframes
• Engage in person-centered treatment planning with clients
• Enter, sign, and submit all electronic clinical documentation to the Clinical Director within 24 hours of the encounter with the client, including progress notes and assessments
• Prepare for and participate in clinical supervision with the Clinical Director
• Collaborate with consented external providers and internal clinic personnel regarding the treatment goals of mutually shared clients
• Complete required trainings within established timeframes
• Conduct requested self-audits of charts for assigned clients, as well as unplanned chart audits
• Plan for, attend, and participate in clinical team meetings
• Initiate the referral process (with the permission of the client) for clients in need of medical and additional psychiatric referrals
• Provide client coverage within the Treatment and Recovery Services division when needed (ie. in the absence of colleagues)
• Comply with all relevant standards and regulations The Joint Commission, HIPAA
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisors
