Senior Financial Analyst

LHH is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to work for one of our premier clients located in the Chicagoland area. The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in driving financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support for the organization.

The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the senior leadership team and partner with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering metrics in profitability in short-term and long-term planning.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for the following :

Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support strategic initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators.

Partner with business units to develop and track financial metrics and performance targets, and provide insights to drive operational improvements.

Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions through financial modeling, ROI analysis, and scenario planning.

Assist in the development of business cases and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support pricing strategies, product launches, and other business initiatives.

Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors to identify risks and opportunities for the business.

Participate in ad-hoc projects and analysis as required by senior management or departmental needs.

Mentor and provide guidance to junior financial analysts, fostering their professional development and growth.

Continuously seek opportunities to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and enhance the effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis.

The Senior Financial Analyst will need to have the following qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA certification is a plus.

4+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, or related roles.

Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and Microsoft Excel.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Proactive mindset with a focus on driving results and continuous improvement.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience with financial planning and analysis software (, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights) is preferred.
