We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our team located in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within the manufacturing industry.
The HR Generalist will be a key player in maintaining effective employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and managing various HR functions.
Responsibilities :
- Act as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
- Provide HR support across various functions including benefits administration, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, and administrative reporting.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Track completion of compliance activities and train others to adhere to legal requirements.
- Provide administrative support for employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Detailed tracking of FMLA, LOA, PTO, Personal Days and attendance points.
- Assist in project support, digital scanning of employee files, record retention & other ad hoc projects.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in all matters related to employee information.
- Ensure accuracy of work, especially in the HRIS, to prevent any missed details or mistakes.
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now
- Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
- Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce HR systems
- Understanding of Benefit Functions
- Excellent Communication skills
- Experience in Compliance procedures and regulations
- Strong skills in Employee Relations
- Knowledge and understanding of FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
- Proven experience in an HR Generalist role.
