We are in search of an HR Generalist to join our team located in Cleveland, Ohio. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within the manufacturing industry.

The HR Generalist will be a key player in maintaining effective employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and managing various HR functions.

Responsibilities :

  • Act as a liaison to facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
  • Provide HR support across various functions including benefits administration, collective bargaining agreement interpretation, and administrative reporting.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Track completion of compliance activities and train others to adhere to legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Detailed tracking of FMLA, LOA, PTO, Personal Days and attendance points.
  • Assist in project support, digital scanning of employee files, record retention & other ad hoc projects.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in all matters related to employee information.
  • Ensure accuracy of work, especially in the HRIS, to prevent any missed details or mistakes.
  • Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
  • Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
  • Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce HR systems
  • Understanding of Benefit Functions
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Experience in Compliance procedures and regulations
  • Strong skills in Employee Relations
  • Knowledge and understanding of FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus
  • Proven experience in an HR Generalist role.
