Electrical Engineering Building Construction Design Manager

This full time, permanent Electrical Engineering Building Construction Design Manager opening is at a growing, employee-owned electrical and automation product company.

AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Revit are used by the department. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows :
- Overseeing and growing a small department of drafters and designers
- Creating new department policies and procedures to help manage the department growth
- Impacting the growth of the company
- Communicating with a variety of employees, vendors and customers
- Training and motivating
- Handling budget responsibilities
- Creating and presenting proposals
- Reviewing engineering designs for electrical construction projects
The background of the successful candidate must include one of the following :
- A four year electrical engineering degree and four years of experience as an electrical engineer - or-
- A licensed Master Electrician or a Journeyman Electrician with 15 years of field electrician experience -or-
- A two year electrical engineering degree, three years of electrical engineering experience and either a licensed Master Electrician or a Journeyman Electrician status
The background of the successful candidate must also include all of the following :
- Two years of building electrical design experience
- A solid work history
- A US citizen or possess a green card
- A residence within 45 minutes
