Senior Analyst - Corporate Financial Support

Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Projects & Corp Development will be responsible for supporting operation projects and day to day activities at GLOVIS America, Inc.

The position will assist in managing projects, analysis and studies for negotiation, implementation, and investments for the organizations objectives.

Duties include but are not limited to; participating in the review of vendor rates, market studies, and coordinating multi-departmental projects.

Compensation Range

$58,000-$63,000 / Year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Responsibilities

• Support team and Operation departments for special projects Support & identify the development and implementation of plans to optimize our logistic network by reduce costs, and / or improve efficiency Work with team to create and review analysis for new and current projects Collaborate with and provide support to Operations departments on day-to-day items and projects Identify areas of cost reduction and improve profitability through models and negotiations Support in drafting presentations for executives as well as support & prepare documents for approval Maintain regular updates to team project tracker Maintain and track vendor contracts, knowing their status, rate escalations, and clauses
• Assist, monitor, and report on project progress to key stakeholders Maintain a working project list, providing regular updates to team, senior management and other departments Support manager with analysis, gathering data & preparing analysis Assist with contract negotiations, identifying favorable terms for the company Generate team reports including financial results or gathering of data to support ongoing projects
• Support other projects as assigned Travel as part of project as needed

Skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required
• Proficient with PC skills : MS Office products (Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook, database management systems) Required
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and drive actions with cross-functional groups Required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to adjust to meet business needs Required
• Individual must be a self-starter with ability to work with limited direction Required
• Strong negotiations, procurement, and conflict resolution skills Required
• Working knowledge of contract management practices, tracking and managing data, contracts, and timelines Preferred
• Working knowledge of industry and market conditions, and carrier operations businesses Preferred

Education & Experience

• Associate's Degree Required
• Bachelors Degree Preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain, or Logistics Required
• 4-7 years of experience in Finance, Supply Chain, or Logistics Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and / or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand / grasping product, writing, and typing
• Stand / walk
