Field Service Technician - Switchgear / Mission Critical Equipment

Candidate should be familiar with the testing and maintenance of the following mission critical / critical infrastructure equipment :

  • Switchgear
  • Electrical equipment associated with mission critical
  • Generators
  • Automatic Transfer Switch
  • Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS)
  • Computer Room Air Conditioners (CRACs)
  • DC plants
  • Power Distribution Units (PDU)
  • Battery Cabinets
  • Other critical equipment

Out of town travel Monday through Friday every week. Home every weekend.

Key Qualifications :

  • Equipment testing and maintenance of UPSs, ATSs, Battery Cabinets, PDUs, generators
  • Perform preventative maintenance on generators, ATSs, UPSs, CRACs, DC plants, and other critical equipment.
  • Conduct onsite Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for equipment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant Integrated Systems Testing (IST) experience.
  • Solid experience in project management and related testing procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate equipment delivery and onsite activities efficiently.
  • Ability to conduct onsite Integrated Systems Testing (IST) for electrical gear.
  • Competence in reviewing electrical plans and creating solutions for potential risks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with various departments.
  • Capable of lifting materials up to 50 pounds and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel as needed.
  • Able to pass a criminal background, DMV, and credit check.
  • Purchase order management, vendor management.
