• First rotation is in Pratt & Whitney Compression System Structures Engineer for F135 HPC CIPT in WPB, Florida

What You Will Do

• Stretch your capabilities and enhance learning with frontline, hands-on assignments
• Relocate to different RTX cities / states while in program to broaden your exposure to the business and further develop your leadership and functional skills and business acumen
• Provide structures analytical support for military programs, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor components.

This includes airfoils, rotors & shafts, cases, and actuation linkage systems. Responsibilities include :

• Provide analytical support for preliminary & detailed design, through development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service.
• Cover validation testing (engine and rig) and data-reduction.
• Support in-service field investigations.
• Use Finite Element and classical methods for strength, stress / deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, containment, kinematic and optimization analyses.
• Participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.
• Coordinate with others to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes / methods.
• Document and present results to management and internal customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a related field degree must be obtained between December 2024 - May 30, 2025
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
• Cumulative 3.0 GPA

Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
