Senior Sales Associate Location : Chicago Job Description The successful candidate will be our brand ambassador, responsible for ensuring every interaction in our by appointment showroom and virtual sales floors exceeds our customers expectations.
You will strive to leverage every customer interaction into a potential sales opportunity, and own the customer experience from introduction to order entry to delivery and aftercare.
As a team player, you will work closely with the entire team to provide excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a background with high-end retail sales, preferably in luxury home goods and enjoy interacting with customers in person and through e-mail and phone correspondence.
Familiarity with trade sales (interior designers / architects) will be an asset.
Follow our brand standards for excellence, help ensure an outstanding experience for every customer contact, in all forms of communication, including telephone and email.
Effectively run in-store and virtual customer meetings (at times with owner). These may be trade, direct clients, or bridal registry appointments.
Occasionally you may need to conduct in-home meetings with clients.
Become an expert on all brands we sell and be able to communicate your knowledge to our customers.
Create customer quotes and follow up to close potential sales.
Work with vendors to create, confirm and finalize custom quotes.
Work with shipping providers to quote, execute and follow up on larger import shipments.
Always work with customers in a willing and professional manner, aiming to turn negative situations into a positive outcome and using available resources to solve problems.
Communicate company policy to customers as necessary and observe at all times client confidentiality and company policies for data protection and security.
Cultivate new customers by preparing and giving presentations to interior designers and other groups to create brand awareness and increase sales.
Job Requirements Experience, Skills and Ability :
Previous sales and retail experience, preferably in a luxury environment including luxury fashion, home, department store, high-end travel, financial services and / or interior design.
Excellent communication skills. You must be able to display the highest levels of accuracy (spelling, grammar, punctuation and pronunciation) in both written and spoken communication.
Must show an affinity for the luxury market and consumer.
Having a sales-minded, driven and creative approach is essential.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to achieve results through influence and problem solving.
Flexible attitude and positive approach to change.
Self-motivated, proactive and energetic.
Team player.
Basic Math Skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe and Google Drive is required; knowledge of WordPress, Lightspeed, and Mailchimp is preferred.
