Responsibilities :
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose cause of any malfunction and performs repair.
- Perform vehicle repairs within your current capability / skill level.
- Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicate with service advisor and / or dispatcher if additional work is needed.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road test vehicles when required.
- Perform additional related duties as required and assigned.
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift 35 pounds from the ground
- Ability to physically strain to move large objects (i.e. pushing in a dead vehicle)
- Ability to stand on feet for multiple hours at a time
- Ability to crouch, kneel, bend over
- Fine motor skills to operate hand tools, computers, small parts
- Gross motor skills of holding hands above head for an extended period of time
- Ability to withstand sudden light changes, and stimuli from computer / tablet screen
- Ability to see fine details in small components
Qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience working on Diesel vehicles.
- ASE certifications are ideal.
- Strong automotive background.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check.
- Must have clean & valid driver's license.
