Student Workers play a vital role in the success of the game day operations in the Golden Eagles Athletic Department. Game Management student workers are responsible for a variety of duties surrounding home intercollegiate athletics.
The goal of our game management team is to ensure that a safe and hospitable game environment is created for all home and visiting team athletic participants, fans, students, officials, and administrators.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Positions include but are not limited to video production, live stream, video record, play by play broadcasting, photography, multimedia design, officiate stats keeping, shot clock, scoreboard, PA announcer, on field / court crew, entrance representative
Sets up / takes down all equipment for all Athletic games inside the Gym and outside fields
Ability to look presentable and professional
Must be able to work a flexible weeknights / weekend schedule
Must possess organizational skills
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and pay close attention to details.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects
Ability to work without close supervision
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications :
Complete knowledge of the rules of Sports (Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, and Baseball)
Previous experience working in game management
Ability to maintain accurate records (sports bookkeeping), enforce regulations and policies
Minimum Qualifications :
Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change
Ability to remain neutral and refrain from cheering during the athletic event
Ability to treat every participant, fan, student, official and administrator with the utmost respect and hospitality
Education :
Current La Sierra University student
Must be CPR and first aid certified
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to stand for extended periods
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Must be able to physically see, hear and run as needed for the assigned sports
Must be able to lift and transport various equipment
Wage Range : $16-$16.90 per hour
Must be available to work from August 1 - September 22nd (before fall quarter begins)
