Data Center Systems Architect/ Must Have TS/SCI

Role : Data Center Systems Architect

Location : San Diego, CA (local required)

Clearance : TS / SCI eligible clearance, or ability to upgrade from Secret clearance

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Systems Architect to work in conjunction with a Data Center Network Architect and to reside at the client location in support of further build out of disparate systems in an unconventional infrastructure model.

Client is deploying small form factor hardware that does not reside in standard data centers or racks and with limited or intermittent connectivity, such as Naval ships.

The Architects will participate in client meetings where they will intake requirements and advise on future architecture, design, and hardware solutions.

Resource must be available to perform all services on customer's premises in San Diego, CA.

• This position requires an active DoD Clearance Top Secret or Top Secret / SCI
• Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, Citizenship is required

Required Skills :

• Experience as a Data Center Systems Architect with a focus on infrastructure; systems, compute, and storage
• Ability to participate in client meetings, intake client requirements and make recommendations on design, architecture, and hardware
• Expert knowledge of data center design and architecture
• Expert experience in Server install & config on-prem of blade servers or in-cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Experience in Network Performance Optimization.
• Trained in STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) processes & implementation in the US federal space.
• Strong communications & organizational skills as resource will need to engage directly with various levels of customer and HPE teams.

Key Activities :

• Conduct an in-depth assessment of current infrastructure, including network architecture, hardware configurations, & performance metrics.
• Work with team to deploy & configure Edgeline EL8000 devices, ensuring seamless integration with the customer's existing infrastructure.
• Optimize configurations for performance, security, & scalability, leveraging best practices & industry standards.
• Develop a roadmap for integrating Edgeline EL8000 technologies in the customer environment.
• Implement necessary technologies to prioritize critical applications and workloads.
• Provide knowledge transfer sessions to empower Customer IT staff with the skills & expertise needed to manage & maintain Edgeline EL8000 environments effectively.
• Fine-tune Edgeline EL8000 configurations to maximize throughput, reduce latency, & enhance overall network performance.
• Implement STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guide), as directed, to safeguard against cyber threats.
