In order to help us get there, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager or Director to lead our talented team of software engineers.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our products and driving engineering excellence.

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader who can serve as a coach and mentor within our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of our company's vision and objectives and excel in communicating these effectively.

As a manager, they will adeptly guide team members towards their individual and collective goals, charting the course forward and ensuring alignment across the board.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing and mentoring engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You’ll Do :

  • Be an effective manager by improving team efficiency to drive faster development cycles and expedite time-to-market.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap, aligning engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Lead and inspire a team of software engineers, overseeing their day-to-day activities, setting clear goals, and providing regular feedback to ensure high performance and productivity.
  • Manage the end-to-end development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and deployment, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, code quality standards, and testing methodologies to deliver robust and reliable software products.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
  • Effectively allocate resources, manage priorities, and mitigate risks to ensure successful execution of engineering projects within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Facilitate clear communication and collaboration across different teams and departments, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (X years) in software engineering, with a strong track record of leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Extensive experience in fintech or related industries, with a deep understanding of financial systems, regulations, and security standards.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, and familiarity with modern development frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive results, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex software projects from inception to completion, with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in complex technical environments.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum methodologies and familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
