Alabama State University, Division of Student Affairs, invites applications to fill the position of Living-Learning Program Coordinator.
Under guidance of the Director of Housing and Residential Life, the selected candidate will help manage, as well as implement short- and long-rang organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, related to a first-year living-learning programing in two residential halls (one male and one female).
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with the Director of Housing and Residential Life, Director of Academic Advising, University College and other ASU constituents to ensure proper implementation and documentation of policies and procedures which will support a living-learning program in one male and female residence hall
- Work collaboratively with other University departments to provide residents with opportunities to enhance academic excellence and cultivate a passion for learning, both inside and outside of the classroom, via study and computer labs
- Supervise (1) Assistant Living-Learning Program Coordinator, and (5) Student Assistants
- Develop the "Wellness Matters" Living-Learning Community, with a core focus on "wholesome wellness : " 1) Intellectual Wellness;
2) Career Wellness; 3) Emotional and Physical Wellness; and, 4) financial Wellness
- Oversee, and manage program workshop / seminars evaluations / assessment strategies, while also being mindful of living-learning trends, research and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of Higher Education, and 1 year of Student Activities or Housing / Residence Life experience in higher education, or college / university setting are required.
