Job Description
The Department of Philosophy & Religion in the Shaheen College of Arts and Sciences at the University ofIndianapolis is seeking an Adjunct in Religion beginning in August 2024.
The ability to teach during the evening or the daytime required with the ability to teach in person strongly preferred. The successful candidate will teach 3-6 hours of Philosophy 201 Introduction to Ethics.
Opportunity for rehire in Winter 2025 available based on demand and department needs.

Qualification- Adjunct Faculty Philosophy
- Master's degree in Philosophy required or Ph.D. preferred
- Ability to teach during the evening or during the daytime required; ability to teach in person strongly preferred
- Previous collegiate teaching experience in Philosophy preferred
- Commitment to supporting all student, including first-generation and historically marginalized students preferred

- Design courses and syllabi that conform to University and Department requirements and expectations
- Plan lessons
- Grade assignments, essays, etc.
- Respond to student needs in person or electronically
- Keep up with current teaching best practices
- Support student success and retention
