IT Infrastructure Project Manager Civil Engineering Onsite

Innova Solutions has an immediate need for a IT Project Manager to work on civil engineering projects onsite in Nashville TN.

This role will be working with other Project Engineers, System

Engineers, and report to IT leadership while day-to-day be embedded in with the Engineering

Department to ensure project success and compliance with IT standards and regulations.

  • This job is onsite in Nashville TN by the Nashville airport
  • Job is a long term engagement (2 year + project durations)
  • Compensation package will start with two weeks PTO & 10 days paid holidays
  • Ideal candidates will have IT PM experience within the Engineering industry

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for overseeing and managing strategic projects that align with the goals
  • and objectives.
  • Work with Project Engineers to provide updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders
  • about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Ensuring that all IT components of projects adhere to the established standards and regulatory
  • requirements for compliance.
  • Schedules and conducts IT coordination and review meetings between Engineering and IT
  • Responsible for reviewing IT components of Capital Projects to adhere to the established

standards, polices, and regulatory requirements for compliance including requests for

modifications.

Oversees engineering and / or architectural design, bid evaluation, contract administration,

project scheduling, coordination, inter-utility coordination, quality control, field decisions and

supervision to ensure projects are completed within the stipulated time and allocated budget.

  • Ensures final project deliverables (As-Builts & O&M Manuals) meet company standards.
  • Performs constructability reviews of projects.
  • Performs prevailing wage (federal and state) reviews and compliance.
  • Assists with evaluation of change order requests, requests for information, and other field
  • change issues.
  • Provides recommendations and suggestions on construction related problems.
  • Hands-on, technical project engineer with the ability to architect and implement technical and
  • security solutions as well as transition work plans.
  • Build out client infrastructures which could include cloud-based SaaS solutions, virtual or on prem servers, networking equipment, desktops, laptops, and other common office technology
  • Perform cloud and infrastructure assessments with the ability to make recommendations.
  • Create and execute technical work plans to meet project deadlines.
  • Ability to proactively work cross-functionally to build relationships and rapport amongst highly
  • technical and non-technical co-workers and clients.
  • Provide technical escalation and act as a subject matter expert for existing Project Engineers
  • Performs periodic site observations and provides findings.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Maintains regular and on-time attendance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics :
  • Knowledge of construction practices, specifications and plans, and site development.

  • OSHA Regulations : Knowledge of state and federal Occupational Safety and Health
  • Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • 3-5 years of IT Experience (Desktop Support, Systems Engineer, Systems Administration)
  • 3-5 years implementing and supporting enterprise networking equipment such as Palo

Alto / Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switches, Cisco / Meraki / Ubiquiti WAPs

  • Advanced Systems Administration and Design : Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
  • Platforms as well as Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, Group Policy, and email flow

troubleshooting

Strong knowledge of networking : TCP / IP, LAN / DMZ / WAN, DHCP, DNS, Routing Protocols,

Switching, and Firewalls.

  • Review of MOPs and SOPs for accuracy, safety, and to assess the potential for business impact.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses,

buildings, or other structures such as highways and roads.

  • Data Processing : Skill in interpreting, defining, analyzing, and presenting data from various
  • sources.
  • Reporting : Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports.
  • Relationship Building : Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working

relationships with others.

  • Driving : Skill in operating a motor vehicle.
  • Written Comprehension : Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in

writing.

  • Written Expression : Ability to use words and sentences in writing so others will understand.
  • Scheduling and track completion of preventive and corrective work items
  • Drafting scopes of work and requests for proposal for vendors and service providers
  • Providing frequent reports on key performance indicators pertaining to space, power, and

availability

Skilled in supervising and managing others, including planning work, providing direction,

motivating workers, and identifying the best workers for the job.

Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with

others.

  • Consistently displays ethical behavior.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secure Identification Display Area (SIDA) and Air Operations
  • Area (AOA) Badge.

Qualifications Required :

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related IT field for 4-7

years of experience

  • 2-4 years of commercial building and / or heavy highway construction experience
  • Candidate must be proficient at all aspects of low voltage cabling including planning, installation,

testing, documenting of fiber optic, copper and coaxial cabling system

Candidate must be proficient in the design, provisioning and commissioning of cellular, paging,

Wi-Fi, Telemetry, antenna systems, etc.

  • Candidate must have working knowledge of Carrier circuit installation, provisioning and testing
  • Candidate must be familiar with network architecture, device deployment and interconnectivity
  • Valid Class D driver’s license.

Preferred :

  • Comprehensive Technical (IT) Construction expertise.
  • 7-10 years of experience in related field.
