SUMMARY
The Banquet Houseperson ("Personal de Banquetes") assures guest satisfaction by setting up, servicing, and breaking down for coffee breaks, banquet functions and events, seminars, and meetings as described on the Event Order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Sets up all coffee breaks, banquet functions, meetings, and seminars in accordance with event requirements, , conference, classroom, hollow-square, dance floors, etc.
- Breaks down banquet and meeting rooms quickly and efficiently.
- Cleans meeting and banquet rooms after the function is completed and refreshes meeting rooms between sessions.
- Maintains all banquet storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.
- Assist servers in servicing banquet functions under the direction of the Banquet Manager, Assistant Banquet Manager, and Captains.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and / or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year.
- Previous similar position in a restaurant or hotel is preferred.
- Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
- Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
- Current industry certifications required : Food Handlers Certification & RBS Certification.
- Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
- Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section and San Diego Municipal Code et. seq.
The pay scale posted is the salary or hourly wage range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for the position during the first year of employment.
The posted range does NOT include potential additional types of compensation, such as gratuities, service charges, commissions, or bonuses.
