Position Summary : As the PSM (Process Safety Management) Site Leader at Axalta’s High Point, NC facility, you’ll play a vital role in our team's growth and success.

You'll oversee the PSM program and compliance at the site, reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager. Your responsibilities will include leading risk assessments, ensuring up-to-date process safety information, overseeing change management processes, and fostering a culture of process safety improvement.

What You’ll Do :

  • Lead the site's Process Safety Management program, ensuring compliance with OSHA 29CFR 1910.119 standards and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) following Axalta internal standards and industry norms, recommending engineering controls for risk mitigation.
  • Assist site management in tracking PHA recommendations to closure within specified timelines.
  • Provide oversight to Management of Change (MOC) processes, including maintaining and auditing MOC and Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR) records and procedures.
  • Support plant initiatives and capital projects by offering PSM expertise from planning through completion.
  • Manage the collection and documentation of site process safety information (PSI), ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and currency.
  • Coordinate sustainable PSM self-audits and inspections.
  • Serve as the primary site resource for process safety consultation for both site and plant all personnel.

What You’ll Bring :

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the chemical industry in a PSM covered facility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all 14 elements of PSM including PHA, MOC, and PSSR.
  • Proficiency in HAZOP / What-If, Root Cause Analysis, Management of Change, and Process Control.
  • Demonstrated experience leading PSM audits and closing open items effectively.

It Would Be Great If You Also Bring :

  • Process and / or Project Management Experience.
  • Knowledge of LOPA (Layers of Protection Analysis) and RAGAGEP (Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practice).
