International Guest Services
The International Guest Services assists allguests at the Guest Services Desk but concentrates specifically onnonEnglishspeaking groups and individual guests with their specialneeds and requirements in their native languages so as to give thema full first class cruise experience.
Receivesand handles special requests from nonEnglishspeaking groups andindividual guests.
Works in conjunction with and assiststhe Group Services Coordinator and Guest Service Manager withhandling special requests such as Honeymoon setups AnniversaryPackages Birthday Packages special dietary needs medical needs etc.
for nonEnglishspeaking guests. Follows up to ensure departmentsresponsible have completed the requirements.
ContactsGroup Leaders of nonEnglishspeaking guests to assist the GroupServices Coordinator in organizing group events.
ContactsnonEnglishspeaking guests when necessary to offer assistance inmaking restaurant bookings ordering special local / dietary foodarranging special tours on board and with shoreexcursions.
Available for daily advertised desk hours atthe Guest Services Desk to answer questions and provide assistanceto nonEnglishspeaking guests.
Assists at embarkationdisembarkation and port talks as well as being present during thesetimes to assist nonEnglishspeaking guests where necessary.
Available at Immigration and Customs inspections etc.
Available to act as translator for nonEnglish speaking guestsneeding to communicate with shipboard departments including but notlimited to Medical Security Revenue outlets Restaurant Seniormanagement.
Coordinates announcements and thetranslation / printing of the Freestyle Daily into the requiredlanguages relative to the nonEnglishspeaking guest ratio on boardeach cruise.
Meets and greets nonEnglishspeaking VIPguests staying in suites as necessary and wheneverpossible.
Handles guest requests in an effective way bytaking ownership of the request then followingup until the matteris finalized to the guests satisfaction.
Maintains a cashfloat for giving change and cashing traveler checks forguests.
Available to assist Cruise Programs department inleading specific activities for nonEnglishspeakingguests.
Performs other related duties as assigned or asdirected. The omission of specific duties does not preclude thesupervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to theposition.
Must be familiar with the Safety andEnvironmental Protection Policy and the SEMS and carry out thepolicies and procedures appropriate for his / herposition.
