Title : Professional Development / Family Coordinator
Qualifications : 21 years or older with a minimum of Child Development Associate Credential or Out of School Time Credential and 2 years experience in early childhood, PDR Verified Trainer, and adult training experience
Reports To : Office Manager

Job Goals : To oversee and ensure that all staff with Child Enrichment Services receive required annual training. To assist and train new hires.
To assist staff in planning parent involvement activities and staff activities. To establish and build positive relationships with staff, families, and the community with specific attention to collaborative efforts that will support the growth and development of the staff, families and children in the programs.

- Organizes work efficiently and maintains a clean, organized work environment.
- Monitors shared space to assist in keeping it neat and organized.
- Provides adequate feedback to the Office Manager, Director and others as needed.
- Has the ability to identify problems and assist in correction.
- Performs all duties associated with staff PD and family involvement activities.
- Assists in office related tasks.
- Submits paperwork to supervisors in a timely manner.
- Lifts 10-30 pounds, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Professional Responsibilities
- Meets program attendance requirements.
- Submits time off and clocks in / out in Frontline at assigned time. Is punctual.
- Works with new hires to complete paperwork and submit to the appropriate office (HR or AEL).
- Provides initial new hire orientation. Works to ensure a smooth transition and training for new staff.
- Works alongside new and current staff to train, role model program expectations, and improve job performance.
- Open to new ideas and take initiative. Possesses enthusiasm for the position.
- Accepts responsibility for job-related tasks, including documentation and record keeping.
- Meets program expectations regarding job performance as outlined in the personnel handbook.
- Meets professional development expectations and monitors staff PD.
- Keeps supervisors / office staff apprised of each program’s PD & family involvement status.
- Works with supervisors to plan both PD and family involvement events.
- Completes all Better Beginnings guidelines required by position and submits applications.
- Accepts all assignments given by supervisors.
- Ensures that all program requirements are maintained including working with the district in updating and renewing regulatory checks as needed.
- Completes yearly self-evaluation following district and / or program process.
- Uses good judgment and keeps information confidential.
- Follows chain of command with issues or concerns.
- Knowledge and ability to proficiently use technology required for position to include the ability to develop spreadsheets, presentations and input data as needed.
- Supports and follows all administrative and district decisions and all personnel policies and procedures as outlined in the personnel handbook.
- Maintains all areas of professionalism (dress, demeanor, speech, confidentiality) with supervisors, staff, co-workers, other district staff and the community.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Based on Child Enrichment Services Salary Schedule
EVALUATION : Performance of this job will be evaluated based on the Child Enrichment Services Personnel Handbook and District Evaluation.
Employee must abide by all the requirements and responsibilities of the position of Professional Development / Family Coordinator for Child Enrichment Services.
