Summit Properties seeks an Administrative Assistant for 150+ apartments in Chittenden County, VT. Candidate will have a focus on helping with leasing and compliance paperwork for low income housing.
Hours may be flexible, but candidate will be expected to achieve 30-40 hours each week. Candidate will be a member of our Chittenden County Team, covering multiple properties in Burlington, South Burlington & Winooski.
Candidate will enjoy leasing and administrative work, as well as be comfortable and confident in a customer service role.
Other professional traits we are seeking include managing time effectively, attentive to details, responsible, friendly and accommodating, organized, intelligent, willing to tackle challenges and solve problems.
Specific duties and job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Assisting with managing the office, including ordering office supplies, filing, organizing and tidying up;
- Assist the Community Manager with tenant relations and communications;
- Responding to phone calls, email & website inquiries
- Assisting with the collection of rent;
- Assisting the preparation of the resident communications;
- Assisting the preparation of any required reporting;
- Assisting with annual lease renewals and recertifications;
- Processing of service requests;
- Maintaining on-site resident files and scanning resident files for electronic storage;
- Work with Compliance to ensure all units are complaint with affordable housing regulations
Property management, administrative and affordable housing experience is ideal. Knowledge of HUD and LIHTC programs a plus.
Computer skills are required including proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
