The successful candidate for this positionwill be a 1099 contractor with Music Ministry International and beresponsible for the following :

1. Introduction.Protestant Religious Education (RE) Coordinator (NonPersonalService).

2. Scope of Responsibilities. Providesleadership and administrative support for Protestant RE programs REevents and RE resource management for the Columbus AFB Chapel.

TheProtestant RE Coordinator works closely with the ProtestantChaplain or Auxiliary Priest to ensure budgets program schedulespublicity and other program requirements are developed andimplemented.

2.1. Duration of this contract is upto five years at the discretion of thegovernment.

3. Education and ExperienceRequirements. The Protestant RE Coordinatormust :

3.1. Must be active in and have an indepthknowledge of the Protestant Faith and a commitment to theProtestant Faith. Coordinator must demonstrate in depth knowledgeof the Protestant faith and the process of Protestant ReligiousEducation

3.1.1. Must provide a resume (limitedto 5 pages) with two (2) references validating education andexperience requirements listed above.

Additionally must have 1years experience coordinating and conducting Protestant RE eventsand other seasonal Protestant religious programs (e.

g. Christmasand Easter lessons / classes).

3.1.2. Mustdemonstrate competence with administrative skills includingproficiency of at least one years experience with Microsoft Officeprograms managing calendars social media Facebooketc.

3.2. Demonstrate a basic understanding ofthe spiritual growth process of individuals and groups in theProtestant Faith. Coordinator must be able to clearly express basicProtestant doctrine and liturgical law.

3.3.Demonstrate basic skill in money management related to theProtestant RE programs to include : creation and management of abudget resourcing RE programs / classes and managing specialcollections (e.

g. contributions collected during RE events / classesfor humanitarian relief missions ministry projectsetc.).

3.4. The Coordinator shall complete andsubmit personnel background check application within twenty (20)working days after award date to the Chaplain Corps backgroundcheck program manager for processing.

It is mandatory that allcoordinators working with children under the age of eighteen (18)have a background investigation.

The contract must be able toreceive clearance from a background investigation IAW publicLaw.

3.5. Coordinator must agree to work in apluralistic environment where they may come in contact with membersfrom various faith groups and / or viewpoints.

Coordinator will beprofessional and not denigrate individuals with a differentreligious perspective or viewpoint.

4. Duties andResponsibilities. The Protestant RE Coordinatorshall :

4.1. Be able to work an average of 20hours per week with a maximum of 40 hours per week during peakweeks. Peak weeks are Vacation Bible School Christmas EasterThanksgiving and special Parish events.

A maximum of two additionalpeak weeks may occur during the contractperiod.

4.2. Provide a comprehensive ProtestantRE Programs that includes Sunday RE Classes and midweek REprograms.

4.3. In coordination with theProtestant Chaplain or Auxiliary Chaplain develop an annualProtestant RE curriculum and schedule.

The curriculum will meetguidelines established by the Archdiocese of Military ServicesUSA.

4.4. In coordination with the ProtestantChaplain or Auxiliary Chaplain determine the annual needs forProtestant RE literature resources and supplies.

Ensure equipmentand supply needs are requested in accordance with local policy andprocedures for events and programs.

4.5. Incoordination with the Protestant Chaplain or Auxiliary Chaplaindevelop and submit an annual budget proposal to the Wing Chaplainfor the Protestant RE program.

4.6. Colead annualVacation Bible School (VBS) with the Protestant RE Coordinator.Specific VBS responsibilities will include planning recruitingteachers and volunteers advertising the event registering studentsand overseeing the program.

4.7. Develop andcoordinate publicity of Protestant RE Parish programs to includeadvertising in the base newspaper worship service bulletinsmarquees etc.

4.8. Ensure facility requests forall Protestant RE programs occurring in Chaplain Corps facilitiesare filled out correctly submitted to the Columbus AFB Chapel staffin a timely manner and properly coordinated.

4.9.Ensure that all funds requests for Protestant RE programs arecompleted correctly submitted in a timely manner and properlycoordinated.

4.10. Monitor the handling of allfunds received in Protestant RE programs to ensure compliance withapplicable directives and operatinginstructions.

4.11. Recruit interview select andtrain prospective teachers teacher aides substitutes and otherworkers necessary to run the Protestant REprogram.

4.12. The Protestant RE Coordinator willensure that all individuals working with children under 18 years ofage have submitted and been cleared by the standard backgroundinvestigations for work with children below 18 years ofage.

4.13. Ensure the facility (to include allclassrooms) is setup before the start of Protestant RE programs andevents.

4.14. Monitor classrooms during REprograms to ensure policies / procedures are beingfollowed.

4.15. Create and manage card files onstudents parents and teachers attending Protestant RE programs.Card file data will include emergency contactinformation.

4.16. Supervise the registration ofProtestant RE students teachers and newfamilies.

4.17. Maintain a Protestant REvolunteer list. The list will include the names and contactinformation of all Protestant RE volunteers.

Coordinator will alsodigitally track volunteer hours.

4.18. Ensurethat all Protestant RE volunteers are aware of local safetyrequirements and procedures.

4.19. Collect anddistribute weekly statistical reports (e.g. attendance of programs)for Protestant RE classes and events.

4.20.Develop and manage a continuity file for the Protestant REprogram.

4.21. Attend all meetings pertaining tothe RE program to include :

4.21.1. ProtestantAdvisory Council meetings (monthly)

4.21.2.Attend Columbus AFB Chapel weekly teammeetings.

4.21.3. Meet with the ProtestantChaplain (as required) for coordination of the Protestant REprogram.

4.22.SubContracting :

4.22.1. As needed the ProtestantRE Coordinator shall provide a list of substitute contractpersonnel. Names of substitutes and credentials shall be providedat least 30 calendar days prior to the subcoordinator fulfillingthe contract.

Subcoordinators shall meet or exceed the experiencerequirements listed in this SOW as well as comply with all requiredregulations.

Substitutes will be approved by the ContractingOfficer in coordination with the Wing Chaplain ordesignee.

4.22.2. The Contracting Officer andWing Chaplain shall be notified at least 14 days before any leaveof absence that would prevent the coordinator from performing theservice.

4.22.3. The Contracting Officer and WingChaplain reserve the right to refuse the services of such asubstitute if he / she is deemed unqualified.

4.23.Security. The coordinator is accountable for security andcleanliness of all facilities utilized in conjunction with theirprograms.

4.23.1. Coordinator will be familiarwith and comply with all security procedures to include ensuringthe Columbus AFB Chapel facilities are properly secured doors andwindows locked and lights turned off.

4.23.2.Coordinator shall be responsible for keys provided and keys shallnot be duplicated.

4.23.3. Any duplicated lost ormisplaced keys upon discovery of the occurrence shall be reportedto the facility manager.

4.23.4. All keys will bereturned on revocation of this contract.

4.24.The coordinator shall maintain healthy interpersonal relationshipswith chapel staff fellow coordinators andparishioners.

4.25. The coordinator shallmaintain professional standards of conduct and decorum to includedress appearance grooming and use of appropriate and professionallanguage.

Attire and grooming will be neat clean and proper forworship and all ministry functions.

4.26. TheCoordinator is being hired as an independent nonpersonal servicecoordinator and is accountable to pay any Social Security taxesfederal or local income taxes and state unemployment insurancepremiums for themselves as well as any individual employed orsubcontracted by them to provide services under thiscontract.
