Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $142,100.00 - $236,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

The Product Director role will be responsible for transforming dealership back office, sales, and fixed ops workflows. We need an individual focused on driving the transition of how jobs are done today in dealerships to new and better workflows.

The role will work directly with dealers and OEMs as an expert in the dealer workflows of today and our new solution to help build the bridge to a radically more efficient future.

This includes documenting challenges and opportunities while providing feedback and guidance to internal teams on what is resonating and working in the new workflows and what is causing friction.

This role is required to collaborate with internal teams including sales, training, implementation, and product to drive the evolution of our retailing solutions products and GTM.

This role will help drive our future product position including :

  • Responsible for developing a point of view on how internal teams need to evolve messaging, product, and process to maximize dealer efficiency and solution utilization.
  • Identifying what are true blockers / inefficiencies to dealers doing their jobs vs what are opportunities for more training / transformation of dealers.
  • Developing a point of view on how dealers and other stakeholders need to evolve processes to maximize dealer efficiency and get the most out of our solutions
  • Engaging and consulting with dealer groups (large and small) to evangelize our new solutions and perform evaluations to determine the fit of the new solution including documentation and communication of gaps and potential solutions to address them.
  • Assist / Support developing marketing, sales, training, and similar materials with the respective teams.

  • Monitors performance versus expectations and uses formal and informal means to keep clients / customers informed on progress and issues.
  • Participates in developing strategic client opportunities or assignments.

Education, experience, and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 10 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 8 years' experience;

a Ph.D. and 5 years' experience in a related field; or 14 years' experience in a related field

  • In-depth knowledge and working experience in Dealer Management Software (DMS systems)
  • Experience at an automotive vendor launching / evolving new dealer workflows as a conduit to provide feedback on how to sell, train, and build a solution
  • Worked with sales, marketing, and product teams to benchmark the current state and identify how a vendor should evolve their offering and GTM based on dealer feedback
  • Experience building / guiding the building of training materials and standard operating procedures around the software sales process
  • Extensive experience in conducting competitive research and analysis.
  • Extensive experience in identifying KPIs and other analytics to measure product value.
  • Extensive experience with executive presentations and communications.
  • Experience serving in an executive leadership role as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, and complex team environment.
