IMMEDIATELY HIRING : Medical Laboratory Technologist (Evening Blood Bank)
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Blood Bank Technologist to join our team. We have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift openings!
As a Blood Bank Technologist, you will be responsible for the procurement, testing, and processing of blood components, as well as providing exceptional patient care and customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities :
- Perform various tasks related to the procurement, testing, and processing of blood components, including blood typing, cross-matching, and testing for infectious diseases
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of blood products
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital staff and clients to ensure excellent customer service
- Participate in quality control activities, including proficiency testing and quality assessment
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all testing and processing activities
- Adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements and safety protocols
- Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry developments and best practices
Requirements :
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or eligible to sit for exam (NICE TO HAVE)
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a blood bank or medical laboratory setting preferred
- Strong understanding of blood banking principles, procedures, and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with computerized laboratory information systems (LIS) a plus
Work Environment :
- The Blood Bank Technologist will work in a dynamic laboratory setting with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns, and masks.
