What you'll be doing
As an Actuarial Specialist on our Actuarial Data Solutions team you will gain experience in :
- Translate business requests into technical requirements
- Support designing solutions to enhance reporting and analytic capabilities
- Support centralizing and standardizing data from various sources
- Assist with developing automated solutions to streamline processes
- Help transition manual deliverables to automated reports
- Increase transparency, efficiency, and governance of processes
- Maintain robust process and production documentation
- Document changes and follow change management procedures
What we’re looking for
Must-have :
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Data Analytics or other quantitative major
- 2+ years of actuarial experience, 3+ actuarial exams passed
- A commitment to continuing the actuarial exam process to obtain the ASA Certification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Independent, motivated, and collaborative
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development
Nice-to-haves :
- Experience with Life or Annuity products and actuarial modeling strongly preferred
- Experience with Excel VBA and MG-ALFA is ideal. Experience with GGY AXIS, Tableau, and other Actuarial Modeling software or Database Management systems is highly relevant.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
- Curiosity and demonstrated capability to quickly learn new concepts
Experience with :
- Modern Data & Analytics Technology such as Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, Spark
- Coding with SQL, Hive, Python / R, SAS, VBA, etc.

The pay range for this position is $53,500 - $92,500 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law.
Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
