Responsibilities
What You’ll Do

- Disseminate accurate contract rulings and interpretations of Commercials & Industrial Contracts for principal and extra performers to members, ad agencies, production companies, and talent agents.
- File claims and resolve contract disputes includes mediation with ad agencies and attorneys as well as arbitration preparation and testimony.
- Participate in collective bargaining process, including Wages & Working Conditions Committee (W&WCC) meetings and negotiations.
- Take minutes for various meetings, including staff meetings, W&WCC meetings and negotiations.
- Work with special performer groups.
- Organize non-signatory producers.
- Participate in educational seminars for members & industry personnel.
- Supervise assistant.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director.

- Ability to organize, prioritize and expedite heavy workload efficiently.

- Able to work independently.
- Superlative interpersonal skills : high degree of patience and tact. Must be able to cultivate respectful, strategic and collaborative relationships with people from diverse backgrounds both internally and externally.
- Have an understanding and awareness of worker rights impacting SAG-AFTRA members

- Capable of taking direction from more than one supervisor.
- Must be able to work in a challenging environment where constructive feedback from others is encouraged.
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at SAG-AFTRA’s sole discretion.
- Must be available and willing to work such extended hours per day or per week (and / or overtime for applicable non- exempt positions), including weekends and holidays, as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary to meet its business needs.
- Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as SAG-AFTRA determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in contract interpretation and enforcement; experience with Commercials Contract a plus.
