Purpose of Position

The Senior Learning & Development Partner is responsible for partnering with EJM to support the identification of root issues and key learning objectives, design and develop or procure high impact learning solutions.

They are also responsible for providing learning expertise to design solutions with internal resources based on the uniqueness of learning content and business needs.

This role is dedicated to building & delivering programs that are consistent across the enterprise including leadership, professional skills, project management, and new hire orientation while supporting subsidiary’s unique needs through consulting and customization of the larger initiatives.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a master trainer / facilitator for a variety of leadership and professional development programs
  • Partner with Business Leaders to identify key learning objectives and procure or design potential solutions. Identify key measures to assess effectiveness of solutions and provide options to refine / improve based on changing business needs
  • Conduct training needs assessments for incoming training requests and consult with the business and HRBP on non-skills or knowledge issues that may cause performance discrepancies and identifying business alignment needs to support training initiatives
  • Customize, design, and facilitate professional and service excellence programs; recommend and implement activities, interactions, resources, and technology to ensure an effective learning environment
  • Assist in evaluating program effectiveness, utilize evaluation data to revise / recommend changes in instructional objectives / methods
  • Partner with internal resources to build and deliver solutions where appropriate
  • Support the evolution and adoption of the Learning Management System and content

Education

Bachelor's in Communications or Human Resources

  • 6 or more years of experience in instructional design, development, and evaluation
  • 6 or more years of experience facilitating training; engaging; advising, and guiding learners and evaluating their achievements against intended learning outcomes
  • Ability to design and develop L&D programs to : Meet individual and organizational learning needs within specified timescales and resources Identify and incorporate appropriate L&D methodologies and delivery channels Develop related content and high-quality learning resources to create high levels of learner engagement and achievement of learning outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to : Engage with team or department managers to clarify short-term priorities for learning and development interventions Gather relevant data on performance and current levels of competence Identify gaps in relation to required levels and obtain agreement on required outcomes
  • Expertise in knowledge in Adult Learning Concepts and leadership development, best-in-class learning, and leadership disciplines
  • Demonstrated, applied understanding of learning technologies such as : traditional ILT, virtual ILT, online learning, learning partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects and tasks. Align resources to ensure priorities with multiple deadlines are met
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex analyses of Learning data; identify key trends and contribute to the creation in insights that enable the diagnosis of business issues to improve employee engagement
  • Impactful leadership ability to anticipate the needs of the business, strategically think to meet these needs as well as to inspire, empower, motivate, and develop partners and peers along the way
