Principle Responsibilities
Provides assessment of patients, determines and implements plan of care.Perform initial evaluation and treatment sessions.
Monitors progress of patient treatments based on ongoing assessment of tolerance, clinical judgment, and plan of care goals.
Educates patients and families through group classroom sessions and one on one with patients, including age specific and cultural considerations.
Monitors patient health statics throughout testing, recognizing abnormal findings and institutes recommended intervention.
Operates technical equipment to obtain accurate documentation during all procedures.May enroll patient in monitoring services.
May perform stress procedures which include, standard graded exercise test, treadmill echocardiograms, dobutamine stress echo, nuclear graded exercise test, nuclear Lexiscan and Dobutamine stress tests.
May perform Holter scanning or Arrhythmia monitoring.
Facilitates and participates in the continuum of patient care.Consults with staff, physicians, regarding writing exercise prescriptions.
Assists with program development and initiatives.
Maintain equipment.Set up equipment for each procedure.Trains and provides in-servicing on all outreach accounts on equipment used, including downloading techniques.
Trouble shoots outreach accounts equipment or connectivity issues.Ensures all outreach accounts have all the supplies necessary for hook ups.
Orders and stock supplies.Maintains equipment in working order and manages repair process.Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree exercise physiology or related field required
- 2 to 5 Years in cardiac rehabilitation preferred
- ACLS / BLS Tier 2-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Multisource required Upon Hire
