Primary mission :
As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for luggage assistance and shuttle service for all guests while providing guests with personalized service, special comforts and acts of kindness.
You will be responsible for transporting guests to and from the local airport and occasionally complete runs to local attractions.
Must be friendly and will assist front desk agents as needed.
SCOPE OF WORK + TEAM
- Reports to Front Office Manager
- Supports special events team
- Part of the Front Office Department
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide management-approved and scheduled shuttle runs from the hotel to the airport, or as otherwise directed by management.
- Be the first and last point of contact for many of the hotel guests, so Drivers must be able to demonstrate a positive guest interaction experience.
- Maintain the hotel's operating equipment, including the vehicles, in a clean and ready state at all times.
- When not on a scheduled run, Shuttle Drivers will perform necessary duties within the hotel, as directed by management.
- These duties will include bellman functions, guest amenity deliveries, delivery of to guest requested items, etc.
- The vehicles have hotel logos viewed by the general public, so all activities by the Shuttle Driver are a reflection of the hotel.
Drivers will maintain the highest level of courtesy to all vehicles while on runs.
Other duties may be required as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE :
- Prior Experience : 1+ Years of previous Van / Shuttle Driving experience
- IT Expertise : Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office, outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
- Education : High School diploma or GED required Must be able to provide clean DMV driving record for consideration. Must possess a restriction-free Class B Drivers License for commercial operation carrying passengers or be able to acquire one within time limits of position opening
- Subject Expertise : Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
Report any unusual occurrences and / or request to Supervisor. Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills Must be able to effectively communicate to guests, management, and coworkers and read, write and understand the English language Must be energetic and outgoing Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment Must be able to understand and work with basic financial information and solve basic arithmetic problems
OTHER EXPECTATIONS :
- Abide by payroll policies, procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
- Travel required : As needed for hotel familiarization, content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
- Hours Required : Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (PST), while understanding that the hotel business functions 24 / 7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
