RESPONSIBILITIES (Instructional Coach) :
Instructional Support
- Provide individualized coaching to teachers to improve instructional practices and scholar outcomes.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback to teachers on instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers to design and implement effective lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Support teachers in implementing NLCP's instructional philosophy, including culturally responsive pedagogy and rigorous academic standards.
Data-Driven Instruction
- Utilize data analysis to identify trends and areas for instructional improvement.
- Guide teachers through reflective cycles to analyze student performance data and plan targeted interventions.
- Support teachers in developing and using mastery trackers to monitor scholar progress.
- Assist in the development and implementation of assessment strategies to measure instructional effectiveness.
Professional Development
- Design and deliver professional development sessions focused on instructional best practices.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build teachers' capacity in data-driven instruction and effective teaching strategies.
- Continuously refine professional development offerings based on teacher needs and school priorities.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with instructional leaders and the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) to align coaching efforts with school-wide goals.
- Participate in ILT meetings to provide insights and support for instructional initiatives.
- Support grade-level content teams in planning and delivering standards-based instruction.
- Serve as a resource for teachers in need of additional support or who have been escalated for performance issues.
Community Building
- Foster a supportive and collaborative environment among teachers.
- Ensure that teachers feel valued, heard, and supported in their professional growth.
- Promote equity by considering diverse perspectives and inclusive practices in all coaching and instructional efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS (Instructional Coach) :
Education :
Master's degree in Education or a related field preferred.
Experience :
- Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience with a record of effective instruction.
- Previous experience in instructional coaching or a related leadership role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use it to inform instructional practices.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Uphold high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
