Innovative solutions are becoming more available to allow electric mobility to enter the mass market. An important part of this is the charging technology.
Vector supports developers of on-board charging ECUs in the vehicle, charging stations and inductive charging systems with extensive test systems, bespoke ECU software and hardware as well as a SaaS load management backend.
Position Description :
We have an immediate need for an experienced Field Application Engineer to liaison Vector's EV infrastructure products and customer applications. You will :
- Set up initial commissioning of EV-Charging-Systems together with our customers.
- Develop and implement customer specific solutions for EV-Charging stations.
- Develop and implement communication adapters and scripts to connect components to the charging controller.
- Integrate and deliver technical support for North American customers.
- Organizes and implements technical customer support for the vSECC product group in the medium term.
- Participate in standards organizations such as SAE, CharIN NA, CHAdeMO
- Participate at testing events.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have :
- 2 to 5+ years of experience in embedded development or testing or support for embedded software applications.
- Good knowledge of hardware, software embedded systems along with charging communication for CCS and MCS.
- Good programming skills in Linux scripting.
- Experience with ISO15118 EV charging communication protocol preferred.
- Clear and concise, oral and written communication skills with peers, management, and customers.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a sense of urgency to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Ability to travel to customer sites 30% to 50%.
- Strong project, self-management and organizational skills
- B.S. in EE / SE / CE / CS or related field or equivalent combination of education / experience.
