Reporting to the Vice President of Operational and Clinical Access, the Director, Access Improvement & Operational Efficiency is responsible for the development and implementation of standard, patient-centered processes that will improve access to care in the ambulatory setting.

This position collaborates with operational leaders and other corporate leaders in areas such as Finance, Quality, Analytics, and Planning.

This position will support and align with system strategic priorities as they relate to patient access and ambulatory operational efficiency.

Primary areas of responsibility will be access to healing, referral management, scheduling template best practices, and the development of performance management systems.

This position will partner with Ambulatory leadership to ensure that best practices for template management, scheduling functions, referral processes, capacity management and other access strategies are implemented in all Ambulatory settings.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Seven plus (7+) years of progressive experience within engineering, planning, management consulting, customer service or similar required.
  • Two plus (2+) years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in a Group Practice environment working closely with administrative leadership and / or physicians in a consultant, project management, or leadership role.
  • An emphasis in healthcare with previous experience managing large-scale projects.
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations to executive audiences.
  • Experience working with external consultants, workgroup leadership & facilitation, budgets & workforce planning preferred.
  • Highly refined analytical skills preferred.
  • Ability to credibly consult with executive leadership so resources may be aligned cross-functionally preferred.
  • Ability to anticipate scenarios and develop strategy options while remaining open-minded to alternatives preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize initiatives preferred.

EDUCATION REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or similar field required.
  • Master's degree in Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration (with quality or operations improvement emphasis), or similar field preferred.
