Major Responsibilities :
- Preparing and entering general ledger entries as necessary;
- Complete assigned monthly close procedures;
- Prepare assigned monthly general ledger account reconciliations;
- Assist with analyzing financial statements and related cost center expenses on a monthly basis, correct and or report on variances;
- Assist with financial and tax audits;
- Assist with preparing tax data required for state and federal tax returns;
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls;
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Experience preparing and posting general ledger entries;
- Ability to research and reconcile difficult accounts;
- At least 5 years accounting experience; preferably with a manufacturing or industrial equipment company utilizing an ERP system;
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with an internal customer service focus;
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience a must;
- Detail oriented and organized in work;
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines;
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, company management, and external agencies;
- Proactive, independent and desire to learn.
Preferred :
- Experience using PowerPoint a plus;
- Forecasting and Budgeting;
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
