The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, development, and management of the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the successful delivery of projects that align with business goals.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, driving project management excellence, and optimizing processes to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team Project Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a top-tier escalation point for client implementation issues
  • Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Define and implement the PMO strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks for healthcare technology projects.
  • Manage the portfolio of projects, ensuring resource allocation, prioritization, and delivery within scope, time, and budget
  • Ensure consistent, successful execution of healthcare technology projects, including software implementation, system integration, and product development.
  • Oversee risk management, change management, and project reporting, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of risks and issues.
  • Partner with key stakeholders (engineering, product, and operations teams) to define project goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Continuously review and improve project management processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency, scalability, and consistency.
  • Perform weekly meetings with PM team members as well as other leaders in the PMO

Requirements :

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years of experience managing a team of Project Managers in a PMO for a SaaS organization.
  • Consulting background (Deloitte / Accenture, etc) a plus
  • Proven experience leading enterprise healthcare technology implementations (e.g., SaaS, EHR / EMR implementations, health IT integrations, patient management systems).
  • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, or similar).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and manage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on risk mitigation and project delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, IT, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.

  • PMP, PgMP, Agile certifications (ScrumMaster, SAFe), or other relevant project management certifications
