Position Overview :

The Houston office is seeking a Senior Counsel to join our expanding our litigation group. The ideal candidate will bring 4-8 years of experience in litigation, possess strong advocacy skills, and demonstrate the ability to handle complex cases in a fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to grow within a highly respected defense firm.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage a diverse caseload of construction defect matters.

Hands-on Trucking Litigation Experience!

Collaborate with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation, including :

Rapid response investigations following catastrophic losses.

Case evaluation, reporting, and litigation strategy.

Drafting and responding to discovery.

Taking and defending depositions.

Trial preparation and courtroom presentation.

Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client objectives.

Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.

Mentor and guide junior attorneys and staff as needed.

Qualifications :

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in Texas - no exceptions.

4-8 years of civil litigation experience; general liability

Trucking Litigation is a must HAVE

Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating within a team structure.

Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
