Job Title : Weight Control Engineer (Hybrid Schedule Available)

Position Overview : We are seeking a skilled Weight Control Engineer to join our team in Metairie, LA. The ideal candidate will possess a B.
S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in vessel design development, including structural and auxiliary systems design for various marine crafts such as patrol vessels, offshore supply vessels, tugs, and barges.
This role also involves technical management of weight changes as vessels progress from baseline to final product.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage vessel designs, including structural and auxiliary systems.
- Oversee and control weight changes throughout the vessel's lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and standards, including ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, and IMO.
- Communicate effectively and provide leadership within the team and with external stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining schedules in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications :
- B.S. degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in vessel design and development.
- Familiarity with ABS, CFR, USCG, SOLAS, IMO, and other applicable regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, FEA, GHS, and Rhino software is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to strict schedules.
