JOB DESCRIPTION :
Performs maintenance task involving the assigned building and grounds during working hours set by Manager of Maintenance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
1. Paint the interior and exterior of District buildings and facilities to maintain proper appearance and protection from rust and decay, perform touch up work as necessary.
2. Perform ground maintenance and gardening activities involved in the beautification of District grounds, landscaped areas, playgrounds and parking lots.
3. Move and arrange furniture and equipment, set up and assemble chairs, tables, and other furniture and equipment for special events and activities.
Clean up furniture, equipment, and debris following these events, load and unload delivery truck.
4. Clean light fixtures, windows, walls, furniture, blinds, carpets and related items. Strip, scrub, and refinish floors.
5. Perform related duties as assigned by the Administrator to meet the particular needs of the building / unit.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee is required to have dexterity of hands and fingers.
The employee is required to walk or stand for extended periods of time. The employee will perform assigned duties which require bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead, above shoulders and horizontally.
The employee will be required to lift, carry, push or pull moderately heavy objects weighing over 50 pounds. Employee must be able to climb ladders and work from heights as needed.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job the incumbent is seated or walking at will and has limited physical labor.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Must possess oral and written communication skills, be willing to work flexible hours, and be able to work on a team. Incumbent must possess a valid Indiana driver’s license.
Must have a valid work permit if under 18 years old.
