NIAPS System Administrator
Solvere has an immediate need for a System Administrator with a Secret clearance to support Navy sustainment engineering and integration.
MUST be a US Citizen
MUST reside in San Diego County
MUST have an Active CompTIA Security + or CCNA Certification (IAT cert preferred)
MUST have a Secret Clearance
MUST have Windows Server experience and certs
Job responsibilities :
- Ensure integration changes to the legacy system minimize risk to the technical refresh effort.
- Ensure updated Technical Refresh versions are compatible / interoperable with earlier versions as designated by the Government.
- Ensure service continuity and data exchange with designated external systems, and coordination of concurrent changes with interface partners.
- Provide necessary deployment planning, installation verification, and testing to ensure each technical solution works within the system environment.
- Abide by Government standards, regulations, and policy.
- Provide software release package and supporting documentation comprehensive enough to facilitate package installation and data migration by the existing Government workforce or third-party designee (e.
g., Combined Enterprise Data Center (CEDC) Government and contract personnel).
- Implement modularity and open systems architecture improvements that reduce life-cycle costs of the systems.
- Strong analytical / problem solving abilities both common and unusual. Serve as a resource on the subject for others in the organization.
Qualifications :
Must have degree in engineering, computer science or STEM. Associate's degree and 4 years related technical work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
Applicable experience will be accepted in lieu of advance degrees.
MUST have 10+ years of System Administration experience
Required Skills include :
Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders; government technical representatives, and other supporting contractors;
excellent written and oral communications; ability to work independently or in a team collaborative environment; ability to brief senior government personnel.
Desired Skills and Certifications :
- Prior Navy Experience as a SYSADMIN
- Afloat experience : NIAPS, CANES, ISNS, TSCE
- Ashore experience : NIAPS, RDT&E, CEDC, SRDT&E
- MUST have experience as a Windows system administrator (2003, 2012 and above)
- MUST have experience managing SQL Server (2005, 2008, 2012, 2016 and above)
- MUST have experience managing IIS (6.0 and above)
- MUST have experience and ability in writing, debugging and documenting automating scripts using PowerShell and batch files.
- MUST have experience and ability to troubleshoot and document steps to solve common and unusual problems.
- Ability to possess an CSWF IAT II certification level (Cybersecurity Workforce Credentials IAT 2 Windows OS and Security+) - Required
Security Requirements :
Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements :
Occasional travel-up to 5%
Salary Range : $85,257 - $105,257
