Summary :

Kelly has recently partnered with a Non-Profit in Ann Arbor, MI to find their next Office Manager! The office manager plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the non-profit’s office, providing essential administrative support to the executive director.

This support is instrumental in helping the executive director and board fulfill our mission of providing support, education, and advocacy to enhance the lives of those affected by mental illness.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Respond to routine calls, emails, and regular mail
  • Respond to calls, emails and walk-ins for information, general support, and crisis support
  • Confer with the Executive Director, Volunteer Coordinator, and others as necessary
  • Manage memberships and donations using Salesforce and our databases
  • Supervise bulk mailing of newsletters, holiday appeal letters, and other mailings
  • Edit and arrange for printing of brochures, newsletters, etc.
  • Mentor office volunteers as they assist with tasks, such as data entry, document scanning
  • File government, financial, and other documents
  • Attend board meetings and submit monthly office reports
  • Maintain Board Handbook and prepare board kits for new board members
  • Purchase office supplies and other items needed to maintain operations
  • Submit purchase reports, check requests, bills, and invoices to the bookkeeper
  • Assist with organization and execution of events such as the annual Paths to Recovery conference and the Mental Health Matters educational programs
  • Develop office procedures manual
  • Organize computer files for the sustainability of operations

Knowledge and Experience Requirements :

  • Ability to share constructive perspectives gained from living with and / or living in support of someone with a mental illness (preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Computer skills with proficiency in email and document management and experience with Microsoft Office programs and website management
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar database
