Responsibilities
- Ensures that a safe working environment exists at all times and that personnel attend routine group or site safety meetings, perform job observations, and follow all site specific and Company safety procedures.
- Manages and directs the work of a team of supervisors and an analyst, overseeing employee performance, and developing a professional staff through appropriate recruitment, coaching, counseling, training and development of employees and team.
- Develop robust metrics, KPIs, and forecasts that can be used to assess the effectiveness of inventory management processes and drive value for the organization.
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of all inventory and department related KPI’s, metrics, forecasts, monthly reports, ad-hoc reports, and databases.
- Manage the analysis and recommendations for inventory stocking levels, replenishment models, and determine optimum ordering levels of materials maintained as inventory for all company generating facilities.
- Overall ownership of the min, max, reorder points, and safety stocks of all inventory warehouses, working with the team and Generation to optimize levels.
- Works with Generation to reduce slow moving / obsolete inventory, recommending optimal movements, and working with the lines of business and organization to disposition.
- Develops and maintains a consistent, efficient, and cost-effective inventory management system to ensure an optimal supply of inventory material.
This includes maximizing the use of existing technology and continuously seeking ways to leverage new technology to increase productivity, streamline processes, improve inventory management, and provide actionable information.
- Manage all inventory related activities, troubleshooting, and resolutions of the inventory management system, and ensure the accuracy of inventory records through routine physical counts and inventory reconciliations and review of such reports provided by team members.
- In concert with the Generation leadership, develop and implement plans in regard to the maintenance, construction, and space utilization of warehouse facilities to support the business planning process and allocation of funds and resources to meet expected requirements in future years.
- Proactively engage with Generation leaders on an ongoing basis to ensure that Supply Chain stays aligned and integrated with business needs and goals.
- Builds partnerships throughout PPL and its operating companies to gain a clear understanding of business needs and drive process improvement initiatives for the department and Supply Chain organization.
- Manage material supplier contracts and relationships through the periodic business review process.
- Provide governance and applicable updates for the disposition of company assets policy requirements including the sale or donation of company assets, inventory, or scrap.
Ensure the policy is understood and followed and that records of sale are maintained, filed and reported to the proper accounting departments (i.
e. Tax, Regulatory and Asset Accounting).
Ensure that proper controls, consistent with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements driven by the Code of Business Conduct, are in place, and complied with, to effectively manage the commercial and regulatory risks of the work performed by the team.
Ensure that all team members understand these requirements. Communicate these requirements to internal client groups to ensure their understanding and compliance.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, supply chain, engineering, IT, material management, or related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required in one of the following : accounting / budgeting and financial reporting processes, material management, supply chain, engineering, project management, working in a power plant, or related discipline.
- Evidence of in-depth analytical expertise and excellent communication skills across different types of networks is essential to effectiveness in this role that interacts with many types of stakeholders within the organization.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience in Excel including ability to develop charts, pivot tables, and advanced formulas; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
Working knowledge of Oracle and Power BI with ability to expand knowledge where needed.
- Previous supervisory experience. The role requires an effective ability to lead and direct a team of five or more direct report individuals at defined Company locations who also lead an additional to 20 to 25 other employees or contractors who work in five locations across the service territory.
- A proven history of providing excellent customer service that includes managing expectations, influencing behavior, building consensus, and delivering results.
- Ability to gather and transform large quantities of data into useful information.
- Proficiency in defining appropriate approach to meet non-technical business objectives. Able to leverage a functional working knowledge of automated systems with an understanding of the business requirements to serve client and stakeholder needs.
- Knowledgeable of project management techniques with strong problem-solving skills.
