Overview and Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Buyer to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for the daily ordering of Medical devices and supplies for all locations in their specified area.

Hybrid, work in the office and remotely throughout the week per the direction of the manager with completion of IN OFFICE TRAINING and are meeting expectations with management approval.

• Collaborates with internal stakeholders from Accounting, Finance, and Operations to create efficiencies in various processes
• Educates end users on purchasing policies to ensure efficient processes
• Ensures locations Receive orders properly and timely within the procurement system
• Overall responsibility to ensure appropriate supplies that are ordered by locations arrive timely
• Process orders for assigned locations, including providing updates with tracking and suggestions for backordered items
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

• Background investigation (company-wide)
• Drug screen ( when applicable for the position )
• Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Required Education and / or Experience

High school diploma or GED equivalent, required

Preferred Education and / or Experience

• Experience in customer service with the ability to work in a matrix-type environment, preferred
• Experience with Microsoft office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), preferred
• Experience with of medical supplies and Durable Medical Equipment (DME), preferred
• Medical terminology, preferred
• One year of related work experience, preferred

• Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
• Critical thinking to solve complex problems
• Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
• Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive and HIPPA information
• Multi-task along with attention to detail using multiple systems to derive information
• Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
• Work independently and as part of a team
