The Department ofEmergency Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago is seeking a full-timenight shift APRN-CNP (Nurse Practitioner)
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive clinical carewithin the Emergency Department at UI Health within parameters of medical staffprivileges for an assigned patient as determined by the scope of practiceguidelines and specialty, completion of health assessments, determiningdiagnosis, planning and prescribing treatment.
The APN will participatein the educational experiences of student and resident learners.
Demonstrated clinical expertise in adult and pediatric patients,proficient with simple procedures, and excellent communication skills arepreferred.
This position will be assigned to full time night shift coverage.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree orDoctorate degree from accredited family nurse practitioner program(CCNE / NLNAC), Current ANCC / AANP board certified and licensed in the State ofIllinois.
Current American Heart Associate Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Current Controlled Substancelicensure required.
Must meet all requirements for medical staffprivileges at UI Health.
PreferredQualifications :
A minimum of 2 years,experience preferred in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care.
