Job Description
Detailed Description ofResponsibilities :
Facilitate mechanical buildingsystem startups & commissioning activities.
Provide subject matter expertassistance in review of product and equipment submittals shopdrawings engineering design drawings and specifications &contractor generated RFls.
Extensive knowledge of safety procedures safe workpractices and OSHA requirements for mechanical installationsincluding but not limited to LockOut Electrical Safe Work PracticesControl of Hazardous Energy & arc flash safety.
Possess extensive knowledge ofprevailing building codes and professional industry standards(including but not limited to : IBC NEC NESC NFPA ASME AMCA ARI AWSASHRAE FM)
Work withbuilding construction contractors and equipment vendors tocoordinate equipment factory testing delivery installationcommissioning & handover to end users.
Coordination of weekend and plant shutdownwork with contractors plant facilities groups & manufacturingshops.
Conduct workprogress inspections on a continuous basis
Support construction administrationactivities related to schedule coordination quality confirmationsweekly coordination meetings and planned utility outages.
Conduct inspectionsand observations of mechanical building systems for compliance withproject specifications quality standards & applicable codes.
Oversee work ofmechanical contractors for adherence to project delivery methodsschedule milestone targets & coordination with other groups.
Prepare fieldengineering status reports of work progress and schedule to ProjectManagers.
Provideinput and feedback to improve project technical specifications andstandards.
Abilityto effectively communicate technical matters in written &verbal formats.
Ability to multitask manage time & prioritizeproject commitments based on established deadlines and projectmilestones.
Requirements :
Required Qualifications :
2 years in construction management.
Experience in designcriteria development for mechanical systems.
Automotive experience with enginetransmission or vehicle facilities or similar industrialmanufacturer.
5years in mechanical design field.
Good organizational skills communicationskills schedule management skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel WordPowerPoint Outlook Project
